Her undergraduate research consisted of ecological and disease work with Colorado amphibians.
Heidi grew up in Vail and is very happy to be part of a world-renowned research institute in the valley and to continue exploring other aspects of scientific research while being close to her friends, family and the mountains she grew up in. Heidi is part of the Healthy Aging team at SPRI and conducts clinical trials and basic research. She is also involved in basic cancer research and stem cell therapies. She hopes to discover new treatments for people who are suffering from pain related to sports injuries and age-related diseases. She also hopes to continue her research career and one day obtain a Ph.D.
When Heidi is not in the lab you can find her skiing, biking, hiking, practicing martial arts, looking for wildlife, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors.
