Alex Goff
Research Assistant
To connect his interests in tissue regeneration research and sports medicine, Alex joined SPRI in summer 2021 as a research assistant and will spend his gap year here while applying to medical school. Prior to SPRI, Alex completed his B.S. in Biology at Duke University, where he conducted research exploring novel methods towards cardiac regeneration with the Karra Research Group (KRG). At KRG, Alex completed a senior thesis entitled “Modeling the Cardiac Myovascular Niche Using Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells.” Outside of research, Alex is an avid Duke basketball fan, enjoys trail running, and loves to play pick-up sports with friends.
With CRPM, Alex is looking forward to investigating the intersection of musculoskeletal regeneration and cellular senescence through a variety of projects. While in Vail, Alex is looking forward to skiing.
