Emily Benstead, MS is the Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator at Steadman Philippon Research Institute.  Her experiences in research include assisting with research development and coordination of multiple health-focused studies involving combat care, osseointegration techniques, influence of senolytic agents, gender dysmorphia, exercise physiology, etc. Many of her studies have required collaborating with prestigious institutions such as Walter Reed National Medical Center, University of Pittsburgh, and Massachusetts General Hospital. Her responsibilities include applying the principles and theories of epidemiology to design data analysis and prepare manuscripts, monitoring current research studies, ensuring local and federal standards are met, managing research data and resources, establishing and maintaining collaborations, providing literature reviews and background documentation, adhering to Good Clinical Practices (GCP), promoting safety and confidentiality of research participants, presenting research findings at conferences and overall support the practice of evidence-based research.
