Research Coordinator: Spine

 Lisa earned both her PhD and BS in Molecular and Cell Biology (2013) and Biochemistry (2000) respectively at the The State University of New York at Sony Brook, Stony Brook, NY.  Her PhD thesis, APlasmodesmal Glycosyltransferase-like Protein, was done in the model organism Arabidopsis and tracked florescent labeled proteins in tissue samples with confocal microscopy.   Lisa’s last postdoc position was at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, New York where she studied the regulatory mechanisms of human hormone GnRH via perfusion analysis. 

Lisa joined the Steadman Philippon Research Institute in October 2015 and is coordinating spine research for various papers.  These projects include publishing data for fusion success rates, analysis on SI joint pain, effects of BMP-2 on fusion rates and various case studies.  She is also collaborating with other researchers to develop new methodologies for spine therapies.
